EFFECTIVE FOR 2023: All High School Players will be expected to complete and turn in an IHSAA Physical Form prior to the start of conditioning. Physical Forms can be downloaded from the website.
EFFECTIVE FOR 2023: Players will be expected to report their grades to their Head Coach or Coordinator at the Board/Coach's discretion in order to maintain good team standing and ensure playing time is unaffected. Should a player's grades slip below passing, game time will be impacted until grades are brought up to passing.
The mission of our high school girls program is to uphold and advance the sport of lacrosse through the development of a championship-caliber program that encourages and promotes:
* A TEAM-oriented approach.
*Sportsmanship & Respect between players, coaches, officials, and competitors.
* Individual Athletic Development for each player.
*The pursuit of excellence on and off the field.
*The development and refinement of positive character attributes and interpersonal skills of each player.
From the beginning of the indoor season until the end of the outdoor season, the priorities of a Crown Point Lacrosse player must be their morality/spirituality, family, academics, and then lacrosse. Should anything else (work, friends, significant others, club sports, other extracurricular activities) move ahead of those priorities we ask that these players not come out for lacrosse and take a roster spot from a player who wants it more.
The Crown Point Bulldog Varsity lacrosse team competes and is treated as a varsity sport. The ultimate goal for the team is to compete for a state championship. In order to do so, we will attempt to assemble the best team possible as the coaching staff sees fit. It is in the best interest of the team to create a competitive environment to develop players on and off the field.
Team communication will be via email, Sports Engine App, team website (www.crownpointlacrosse.com), Facebook (Crown Point Lacrosse) & Twitter (CrownPointLax). Please subscribe/friend these services to receive all team updates and remember to check your email for pertinent information or opportunities.
2023 High School REGISTRATION BASE FEE - $400*
Families with multiple players will receive a $25 discount for the 2nd, 3rd player. Families with multiple players may also have the option of splitting the payment in half, with the balance due December 31, 2022.
Payments can be made by credit card online again this year. Please note that a 3% fee will be added to your registration fee to cover the cost of credit card processing should you choose to pay online. Or if you'd rather, payments will be accepted via check, thus avoiding the 3% service fee. Please make checks payable to “Crown Point Lacrosse” if you opt to pay via check.
Additionally, ALL PLAYERS will be required to participate in the fundraising activities as outlined in the FUNDRAISING section.
We are a self-supported, not-for-profit organization and depend on the monies raised by organized fundraising activities and business donations. Fundraising is essential to the continuation and growth of this program. Monies raised in fundraising will help purchase team equipment, indoor practice space, coaching, and league/tournament fees.
*With an additional $300 in sponsorship (see below) secured by player/ family and turned in by February 1, 2023. The total registration fee WITHOUT sponsorship is $700.
FUNDRAISING For ALL HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS
All high school players are required to participate in fundraising activities and acquire sponsorships of at least $300 per player (or pay the total cost of registration). This sponsorship can come from friends, family, or businesses.
Crown Point Lacrosse is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation, meaning a donation to CP Lacrosse is tax deductible! We have “Crown Point Lacrosse Fundraising Brochures” that can be given to a local business or corporation explaining lacrosse and how a donation will be used to fund team expenses. A one-page “Business Sponsorship Form” is available on our website under the document tab on the drop-down HOME menu. Please print one of these forms and get it completed and turned in with their sponsorship payment prior to February 1, 2023.
